How Stageforce Is Changing How Home Stagers Do Inventory
 

Once upon a time, there was an American Home Staging company with about 45 houses up, another 10 on the board for staging within a week, and 8 de-stages queueing up.

Did they have enough accessories? Would there be enough sofas for the upcoming staging projects? One thing was certain: they knew they could not continue to grow the company and effectively train and manage designers and crew without having a comprehensive inventory management system.

The company was the California-based Transformed to Sell, owned by no-one else than Tori Prince.

Tori began looking for an inventory software in late 2015, but the options were not dynamic and flexible enough for the fast pace of staging.

At that point, she decided to create her own. She worked with a Boulder based development team and created an original test version in mid 2016, and Stageforce was born.

The software was implemented in Tori’s staging company, continuing to finesse the software during an alpha test throughout 2017. They took on two Beta clients in mid 2017 and developed user guides, best practices and procedures before publicly launching on the 1st December 2017.

Before Stageforce, Transformed to Sell didn’t have any inventory control other than what existed in Tori’s mind which she refers to as “the great staging brain”. She tried all of the conventional methods including photos, lists, tally methods, and more.

She quickly found they weren’t worth her time. If a client wanted to purchase everything in a house it took her a full day to get the list and pricing done, and then they would often decline so she was discouraged to use that opportunity as a revenue stream. Now, it takes her one click to see a list of items staged at a home with the prices already calculated.
