Style and Stage was set-up in 2018 by the Swedish mother and daughter team of Marie and Hanna. We wanted to provide home styling and staging services, and interior design services to the UK market. In particular we thought style and staging might be highly beneficial to clients by maximising the sale or rental value and minimising the time to sale or rental of their residential property. This concept had achieved significant success in New York, LA and Stockholm, but was largely unheard of in the UK.
Marie has been involved in interior design for decades. She trained in Denmark and first established her business in Hong Kong. She then achieved success in Sweden and France. Her work has been featured in such international magazines as Elle Interiors (USA), Brava Casa (Italy), Residence (France and Sweden) and Plaza. .
Hanna followed her mother into design through a degree in Hotel Design in Switzerland. She moved to London from Sweden via the US in 2007 and helps with London-based projects, marketing, and is our social media and website guru. She is also a professional photographer and photographs properties for our clients.
I found the S&S to be very responsive. They offered some good ideas and the moodboards were very helpful to visualise the project. They provided in all cases a good selection of furniture to choose from. Very good value for money as well.
Marie was incredibly helpful in converting our empty flat to a tastefully designed living space, with great attention to creating a vision that showed its possibilities. I strongly believe it increased the perceived value of the property for buyers and improved our selling results.
Marie and Eva helped with the move into a new flat. They styled it using my existing antique furniture and sourced and purchased all the furniture/soft furnishings that were missing. The result is simply stunning and I am thrilled with my new home. I couldnt recommed Style and Stage highly enough. Their personalised approach is second to none and they are very professional and a pleasure to work with.
Marie and her team helped us to declutter and rearrange our flat in preparation for a sale. She helped bring out the best in our property and helped us secure an offer. My wife and I would definitely recommend Style and Stage.
We first worked with Style and Stage when staging an apartment we were trying to sell. As the layout of the flat was rather unique, we needed to bring it to life and illustrate the art of the possible-which the team did wonderfully and led to the eventual sale of the flat.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Marie and Eva. We were refurbishing our house top to bottom ahead of selling and her advice on the various aspects of this phase of the project clearly evidenced her experience and we were very happy with the outcome. As for their staging work for the sale, they are clearly second to none. The first viewer to see the house (2 days after they finished staging) offered us the asking price on the spot. They did an absolutely outstanding job and we really liked the fact that although they were clearly the experts they listened to what we had to say and it was a very collaborative effort in the end.

I highly recommend Style and Stage. I’m a developer who builds design-led properties. Most staging companies I have come across offer generic furniture, the sort of stuff you see a lot of the big house builders use. Style and Stage offer a much higher level of design than this, incorporating design classics, such as Wishbone chairs, along with stylish contemporary brands such as Camerich. The director of design, Marie, is a hugely experienced interior designer and offers a very personalised service. She was a pleasure to work with. It’s really worth getting your property properly staged to a high level. My project sold in 6 days after we launched it!
I had the pleasure to work with Marie and her team at Style and Stage for an appartment in Notting Hill that I was sellling. I could not have been more pleased with the result. Marie completely captured the spirit of the flat and the staging was beautiful. I had a significant increase in viewing and in offering price for staging. Even the real estate agent commented on how amazing a jib they had done with the flat. We ended up getting an offer at the price I wanted within a few weeks of the staging being done. In addition they are a pleasure to deal with, extremly professional and diligent, I very warmly recommend Style and Stage for whoever want to present their property in the best way.
