Affordable Art Tailored to Your Interior
As any home stager and interior stylist knows art adds the finishing touch to a room and now a new initiative from artist Kerry Hussain means property professionals can commission original pieces tailored to their individual design schemes for a fraction of the price of buying from a gallery.
Mylandscape’ –

She hit upon the idea of providing affordable, bespoke art to stylists and designers when she began using leftover paint and tester pots to create some art for her own walls at home. As a stylist and home stager, Kerry is aware that artwork, although an important part of dressing a property, can eat up quite a big chunk of the budget especially if using original work.
Printed canvases can sometimes look cheap (even though they are expensive to buy!) and with this there is also the risk of repetition.
Everything Kerry creates is a one-off and she uses emulsion from the UK’s leading paint brands, which makes it easy to tailor work to complement specific decorating schemes. Emulsion also has the advantage of being quick drying, therefore, allowing fast turnaround from order to completion and delivery to site.
Flowers 1 & 2’ – 30x30cm, mixed media on canvas
Her work is purely abstract in form, ethereal and dreamlike – a muted expression of being in a state of ‘no-mind’ and totally present in the moment.
The primary aim is to harmonise colours from any given palette and subtly enhance a room whilst at the same time providing a focal point that invites the viewer to let their imagination interpret.
